Apollo Radiology International (ARI), part of the Apollo Hospitals Group, has announced the acquisition of the radiology reporting division of InHealth Group, the UK’s largest provider of diagnostic and healthcare solutions. This strategic move strengthens ARI’s global presence in teleradiology and aims to address the global shortage of radiologists.
Through this acquisition, ARI plans to report over two million scans annually across 24 countries while continuing to serve over 200 healthcare organisations. The collaboration integrates InHealth's expertise in radiology reporting with ARI’s AI-powered solutions, enhancing the scope and quality of diagnostic services, particularly for NHS partners in the UK.
Dr. Sreenivasa Raju Kalidindi, CEO and Medical Director of ARI, remarked, “This partnership underscores ARI’s commitment to excellence in radiology. Our focus on clinical governance and strict NHS compliance ensures that we continue to deliver high-quality diagnostic services while addressing global radiologist shortages.”
ARI has supported the NHS for over eight years through academic programs, training, and recruitment initiatives. The partnership with InHealth further expands ARI’s contributions to the UK healthcare sector, including the integration of technological innovations.
Geoff Searle, CEO of InHealth, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “Partnering with ARI allows us to enhance our teleradiology services and bring cutting-edge technologies to our NHS partners. Together, we aim to address the shortage of radiologists and deliver quality-driven healthcare solutions.”
Dr. Sangita Reddy, Joint Managing Director of Apollo Hospitals Group, highlighted the partnership’s global impact. She said, “This collaboration combines ARI’s capabilities with InHealth’s deep-rooted NHS expertise, setting new benchmarks for timely, accurate, and quality radiology services. Our shared vision includes leveraging AI to address radiologist shortages while advancing global healthcare excellence.”
Gareth Wynn Owen, British Deputy High Commissioner in Hyderabad, noted, “Apollo’s expansion in the UK underscores the strength of the India-UK relationship in healthcare. This partnership signifies a major step forward in advancing global healthcare innovation.”
