EnAble India, Helicon Consulting Partner To Drive Disability Inclusion In India

The strategic alliance aims to empower disability inclusion in the corporate and civic ecosystem in India

On International Day of Persons with Disabilities, EnAble India Group, a disability-focused organisation and Helicon Consulting, a management consulting firm have entered into a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing disability inclusion across corporate and civic ecosystems in India.

As India advances toward its goal of becoming one of the top three global economies, the emphasis on inclusivity and accessibility in workplaces for PWDs is becoming increasingly critical. This partnership, however, goes beyond workplace inclusion.

The official press release stated that it aims to integrate disability inclusion into broader strategic business transformations for corporations and civic bodies, highlighting the economic and social value of inclusivity.

Dipesh Sutariya, Chairman of EnAble India Group said, “We are excited about this association with Helicon Consulting, who with their expertise will be able to bridge the gap between business, civic bodies & the untapped talent from the disability community & allied expertise of our foundation for maximum impact."

Under PM Narendra Modi, disability inclusion has become a specific focus, as evidenced by the launch of the Accessible India Campaign. Policymakers in India also mandate several guidelines for disability inclusion under a variety of acts such as the RPwD Act (2016), Companies Act (2013), Equal Remuneration Act (1961) etc.

Vikram Kumar Limsay, Founder and Managing Partner, Helicon Consulting added, “Corporates have a positive intent regarding disability inclusion, but lack of awareness of policy and the process to integrate disability into operating workflow to make a strategic impact impedes implementation. We have a deep regard for EnAble India and together, we hope to bridge this disability divide.”

Meanwhile, both companies are confident of ushering in a “Purple Wave” in the Indian Economy with this collaboration.
