The NATHEALTH Foundation has announced the appointment of two distinguished healthcare leaders, Dr Indu Bhushan and Neeraj Jain, to its Board. Their extensive expertise and visionary leadership promise to bolster the Foundation’s mission of fostering an inclusive and sustainable healthcare ecosystem in India.
Dr Indu Bhushan, a former IAS officer and Senior Associate at the Bloomberg School of Public Health and Johns Hopkins University, is renowned for his pioneering contributions to public health. As the founding CEO of the National Health Authority, he successfully led the implementation of Ayushman Bharat, the world’s largest healthcare coverage scheme. Over a four-decade career, Dr Bhushan has championed transformative initiatives that have significantly enhanced healthcare access for millions, solidifying his reputation as a trailblazer in global health innovation.
Neeraj Jain, currently the Country Director for India and Director of Growth Operations for AMEE at PATH, brings over 30 years of experience in the global health and social impact sectors. Jain has played a pivotal role in advancing health equity through technology, partnerships, and Global South collaborations. His leadership at PATH has driven public health innovations, strengthened health systems, and forged strategic alliances with governments, policymakers, and global health organisations.
