“Pathfinders 2018” - Global Pathology Conference on Precision Diagnostics and Personalized Medicine, held in Chennai on September 15-16, 2018

Neuberg Diagnostics jointly with Indian Medical Association, Tamil Nadu conducted a  Global Pathology Conference on Precision Diagnostics and Personalised Medicine, “Pathfinders - 2018” 2nd edition in Chennai. The conference was conducted to partner with medical professionals to make advanced diagnostics accessible to the common man. More than 300 eminent healthcare professionals from all over the world participated in the conference which was held on September 15th & 16th, 2018 at Hotel Hyatt Regency in Chennai. Chief Guest of the conference was Hon’ble Minister of State for External Affairs & Overseas Indian Affairs Gen. (Dr.) Vijay Kumar Singh and Hon’ble Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Govt of Tamil Nadu Dr. C. Vijaya Baskar was the guest of honour for this event. 

The best talents in the medical filed participated in a series of workshops and conferences across different specialties like Oncology, Reproductive Medicine, Nephrology, Neurology, Infectious Diseases, Endocrinology and Diabetology.  Theme of the of the event was “Genomics” and how it paves the way for precision and personalized medicine. Genomic medicine has huge potential to improve patient care, through diagnosis of rare diseases and for more personalized targeting of medicines and treatments. It also has the scope to help predict and prevent diseases.

This two day conference started with the inaugural address by Dr. GSK. Velu, Chairman Neuberg Diagnostics Pvt. Ltd. and was segmented into 8 different sessions on

Session 2 on Precision Diagnostics in Nephrology & Transplant Immunology, chaired by Dr. Rajan Ravichandran, Senior Consultant Nephrologist, MIOT Hospital, Chennai

Session 3 on New Generation Approach to Gastroenterology, chaired by Dr. T.S. Chandrasekar, Chairman & Chief Gastroenterologist Medindia Hospital, Chennai

Session 4 on Genomics and Infections chaired by Dr. V. Ramasubramanian, Senior Consultant , Infectious Disease and Tropical Medicine, Apollo Hospitals, Chennai

Session 5 on Personalised Approach to Manage Diabetes, chaired by Dr V. Mohan, Chairman & Chief of Diabetology, Dr. Mohan’s Diabetes Centre, Chennai

Session 6 on Next Generation Diagnostics in Rare diseases and Neurology, chaired by Dr. Deepak Arjundas, Senior Consultant Neurologist, Vijaya Health Centre, Chennai
