Sahyadri Hospitals Launches Maharashtra’s First AI-Powered Command Centre To Enhance Patient Safety

Sahyadri Group of Hospitals has introduced Maharashtra's first ‘AI-Powered Health Command Centre’ in collaboration with Dozee, a leader in remote patient monitoring technology.

Sahyadri Group of Hospitals has introduced Maharashtra's first ‘AI-Powered Health Command Centre’ in collaboration with Dozee, a leader in remote patient monitoring technology. The initiative aims to revolutionise patient safety through advanced artificial intelligence, enabling real-time monitoring, proactive interventions, and improved clinical outcomes.

The AI-powered system continuously tracks patients' vital parameters, including heart rate, respiration rate, blood pressure, SPO2 levels, temperature, and ECG, while identifying early signs of clinical deterioration. This innovative technology facilitates timely alerts for critical and severely critical cases, enabling emergency teams to intervene promptly and save lives.

Currently operational at Sahyadri’s Hadapsar and Deccan units, the Command Centre will be rolled out across all Sahyadri hospitals within the next six months.

Commenting on the launch, Mr Abrarali Dalal, Managing Director and CEO of Sahyadri Hospitals, stated, “We are proud to launch Maharashtra’s first AI-Powered Command Centre, a revolutionary step in transforming patient care and safety. In partnership with Dozee, this initiative demonstrates our commitment to leveraging cutting-edge technology for proactive healthcare management, enabling real-time monitoring and seamless decision-making to safeguard the well-being of every patient.”

Col (Retd) Dr Sunil Rao, Group COO of Sahyadri Hospitals, highlighted the hospital’s dedication to healthcare innovation, saying, “The AI-Powered Health Command Centre embodies our vision of creating a safer, smarter, and more efficient healthcare ecosystem. By harnessing AI, we aim to provide our patients with the highest level of care and improve clinical outcomes. This initiative reaffirms Sahyadri’s position as a leader in tech-driven healthcare.”

Dr Kapil Borawake, Director of Critical Care at Sahyadri Hospitals, underscored the program's focus on patient safety: “With this initiative, we are shifting from a reactive model to a predictive and preventive one. Using real-time data and early warnings, our teams can address clinical deterioration before it becomes critical, saving lives and improving recovery outcomes. Advanced AI technologies like Dozee are becoming essential in today’s evolving healthcare landscape, enabling clinicians to meet the high standards of care expected by patients.”

The Command Centre utilises Dozee’s patented Remote Monitoring System (RMS) and Early Warning System (EWS), powered by Ballistocardiography (BCG) technology. These systems provide contactless, continuous monitoring and predictive alerts that enhance clinical decision-making. A recent study published in Frontiers in Medical Technology found that Dozee’s Early Warning System can predict patient deterioration up to 16 hours in advance, giving healthcare teams crucial time for intervention.

Dr Nikhila Juvvadi, Medical Director at Dozee, emphasised the partnership’s significance: “This collaboration with Sahyadri Hospitals marks a step forward in our mission to transform healthcare delivery. The AI-Powered Health Command Centre is about empowering healthcare professionals with the tools they need to provide the highest standard of care. Together, we are making patient safety a non-negotiable priority.”

By equipping non-ICU beds with state-of-the-art monitoring technology, Sahyadri Hospitals is not only enhancing patient safety but also setting a benchmark for hospitals nationwide. The initiative underscores the hospital’s commitment to combining advanced technology with compassionate care, ensuring better outcomes for patients.

With this launch, Sahyadri Hospitals continues to position itself as a trailblazer in healthcare innovation, leading the way in integrating AI for better patient outcomes.
