Aster DM Healthcare has announced plans to launch the largest Women & Children’s Hospital in Hyderabad. The state-of-the-art facility, spanning 3 lakh square feet, will feature 300 beds and offer advanced care for women and children. With a total investment of around Rs 220 crore, the hospital will focus on specialised obstetric, gynecological, neonatal, and pediatric services. The first phase is set for completion by mid-FY26, and the hospital will be fully operational by the last quarter of 2026.

The facility will include 100 critical care beds, 10 modular operating theatres, and luxury birthing suites. Cutting-edge technology such as a Cath lab, CT, MRI, ECMO, IVUS, EBUS, and ERCP will support specialised maternal and pediatric care. It will also offer 24/7 emergency care services.

Dr Azad Moopen, Founder & Chairman of Aster DM Healthcare, commented, "The Aster Women & Children Hospital in Hyderabad will set new benchmarks in obstetric and pediatric healthcare. Our commitment to providing top-quality, affordable care is reflected in this project, which aims to serve not only Hyderabad but all of South India."

Hyderabad, with its growing population and status as a healthcare hub, presents a strategic location for the new hospital. The city's infrastructure, medical tourism potential, and the presence of a young, migrant population further underscore the demand for high-end women's and children's healthcare services. Aster DM Healthcare's new facility aims to meet this need, positioning itself as a leader in maternal and pediatric care in the region.

The company already has a presence in Hyderabad with the Aster Prime Hospital, a 204-bed multi-specialty facility located in Ameerpet. With this expansion, Aster DM Healthcare aims to further strengthen its foothold in the region.

As part of its broader growth strategy, the company plans to add approximately 2,000 beds by FY27, bringing its total bed count in India to over 6,800. As per the press release, this expansion will involve both organic and inorganic growth, with projects like Aster Capital in Trivandrum and Aster MIMS Kasargod already in the pipeline. The company is also exploring opportunities in Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh, with a capital allocation of ₹1,200 crore for this phase of expansion.
