Cloudnine Hospital, a leading provider of maternal and childcare services in India, recently organised a series of simulation-based workshops aimed at reducing medical errors in obstetrics, neonatal care, and fetal medicine. These workshops were part of Cloudnine’s annual "Cool Topics in Perinatology" conference and attracted medical professionals from across the country.
Over 400 clinicians, including obstetricians, neonatologists, anaesthetists, and fetal medicine specialists, participated in 11 workshops designed to enhance skills in labour management, normal deliveries, C-section techniques, and fetal medicine procedures. The hands-on training sessions focused on real-time scenarios to improve the preparedness of doctors in managing critical situations.
The workshops, open to doctors and healthcare professionals nationwide, aimed to align medical practices with public health trends and to reduce maternal and neonatal morbidity and mortality rates.
Key Workshop Highlights
Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics and Gynecology: Participants engaged in realistic emergency simulations, emphasising teamwork in high-pressure situations.
Fetal Medicine: Sessions focused on ultrasound training and in-utero treatment, providing hands-on experience in managing complex fetal cases.
Labor Simulation: Immersive exercises were conducted to replicate real-life labour scenarios, enhancing clinicians' ability to handle unpredictable challenges.
Neonatology Simulation Program: Pediatricians guided participants through case-based learning to manage neonatal emergencies effectively.
Dr. R. Kishore Kumar, Founder Chairman of Cloudnine Group of Hospitals, emphasised the importance of continuous training, stating, “These workshops equip doctors with essential skills to provide the best care for mothers and infants. The focus on practical, hands-on training boosts confidence and fosters teamwork in critical situations.”
