HCAH Rehab & Recovery Center (RRC) in Kolkata has appointed Dr. Saswato Majumdar as a specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R), also known as Physiatry.
In a press statement on Tuesday, the Rehab and Recovery centre informed that Dr. Majumdar, renowned for his expertise in neurorehabilitation, pain management, rheumatologic and orthopedic conditions, onco-rehabilitation, and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, will play a pivotal role in enhancing the center's commitment to providing top-tier rehabilitation services.
A physiatrist specialises in restoring function and improving the quality of life for individuals affected by illness, injury, or disease. They employ a comprehensive approach that includes diagnosing conditions, managing pain, and overseeing rehabilitation. Dr. Majumdar’s extensive experience in PM&R spans a wide range of treatments, including physical therapy, spinal procedures, pain management, and interventional techniques such as electromyography, joint injections, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections, nerve blocks, neurolysis, and Botox injections.
