Gennet Lab, Estonia's pioneering IT healthcare company, and Sterlite Technologies, India, have announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on advancing healthcare technology and digital infrastructure. The partnership, supported by the Estonian Embassy, marks a significant step in strengthening international cooperation in digital innovation, with a focus on healthcare, e-governance, AI, AR/VR, data science, and cybersecurity.
The collaboration aims to leverage STL’s expertise in digital infrastructure and Gennet Lab’s innovative healthcare solutions to transform hospital management systems in India. The initiative will enable real-time data access, optimize hospital workflows, and enhance patient care through secure, data-driven platforms.
Egon Veermäe, CEO of Gennet Lab, highlighted the impact of the partnership, stating, "This collaboration is a vital milestone in advancing technology-driven sectors, particularly in healthcare and security. Our goal is to revolutionize healthcare systems by integrating cutting-edge digital solutions."
STL CEO Praveen Cherian echoed this sentiment, saying, "We are thrilled to partner with Gennet Lab to drive healthcare digital transformation in India. Our combined efforts will result in a decentralised, secure health management system that improves efficiency and patient outcomes. We are committed to developing innovative technologies that will elevate healthcare delivery.”
Her Excellency Marje Luup, the Estonian Ambassador to India, underscored Estonia’s commitment to supporting India's digital transformation efforts. "Estonia’s economic growth has been largely driven by our leadership in digital transformation. We are proud to work alongside the Indian government in sectors like healthcare, cybersecurity, and critical infrastructure protection," she said.
Dharmendra Singh, Director of Gennet Lab India, noted the long-standing relationship between Gennet Lab and the Indian government. “Since 2022, we have been aligning with India’s digital mission, focusing on healthcare systems like Hospital Management Information Systems (HMIS) and personalized medicine,” Singh said.
Vivek Nigam, Sales Head at STL, emphasised the focus on localizing digital healthcare systems and bolstering cybersecurity. “This partnership with Gennet Lab will help streamline hospital operations and provide secure, data-driven solutions to enhance patient care,” Nigam added.
