HEJJE: India’s First Luxury Transition Care Centre Opens In Bangalore

HEJJE, India’s first luxury transition care centre, has officially opened in Bangalore, coinciding with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. The facility aims to transform recovery and rehabilitation standards, offering a blend of clinical excellence and luxurious hospitality.

The inauguration was led by Dr. M.R. Seetharam, Vice Chairman of Ramaiah Group of Institutions, former Minister, and current MLA, who lit the ceremonial lamp. A panel discussion featuring experts like Dr. Nandini Mundkur, Prof. Shekar Sheshadri, Dr. Saraswathy Viswanathan, Dr. Arjun Srivatsa, and B.S. Badrinath Rao marked the event. Guests were later given a guided tour to experience the state-of-the-art amenities firsthand.

HEJJE, an extension of the prestigious M.S. Ramaiah Family Conglomerate, serves as a bridge between hospital care and home recovery. It offers a multidisciplinary, protocol-driven approach to ensure optimal rehabilitation for patients recovering from conditions such as autism, ADHD, cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, stroke, and neurological disorders.

Speaking at the event, Co-Founders Sunder Ram and Dr. Varun Devdass emphasised, "HEJJE is the first of its kind in India, integrating a transition care facility with luxury hospitality, an enabling garden, multisensory environments, and innovative therapies like art, music, and virtual gaming rehab. Our mission is to redefine recovery by providing holistic and effective care in a nurturing environment."

The centre, located at MSR North City in Hebbal, spans a tranquil estate designed to support physical and mental recovery. It features 20 premium inpatient rooms, outpatient and daycare services, and cutting-edge technologies, including:

  • Robotic rehabilitation equipment for motor recovery.

  • Virtual reality therapy using Oculus for cognitive enhancement.

  • Robotic laser therapy for pain management and tissue repair.

  • Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (RTMS) for treating depression and anxiety.
