Indraprastha Apollo Hospital Celebrates Completion Of JCI PRIME Program

Indraprastha Apollo Hospital has marked a significant milestone with the successful completion of the Joint Commission International (JCI) PRIME Program, reinforcing its commitment to patient safety and healthcare excellence. The hospital hosted an event to honour the Champions and Project Leads who played pivotal roles in advancing patient care through the program’s various initiatives.

The JCI PRIME Program was launched to enhance patient safety across critical areas such as infusion management, infection prevention, high-alert medication safety, VAD devices, and IV therapy. During the event, a formal certification ceremony was held where participants were awarded the prestigious JCI PRIME Certificates for their contributions.

A key moment of the celebration was a presentation by the hospital's Chief Quality Officer, who highlighted the program's journey and accomplishments. The JCI PRIME Program, designed to promote standardised bedside practices, also aimed to raise awareness about patient safety protocols and best practices. The hospital emphasised its multifaceted approach, which included floor interactions, audits, staff engagement in safety practices, continuous education, and the implementation of updated protocols.

Regular updates through webinars, protocol enhancements, and consultative sessions with JCI experts were highlighted as critical components in maintaining high standards of patient care.
