Global pharmaceutical giant Lupin (Lupin) has announced the acquisition of nine brands from the Medical Nutritional Institute SA (MNI) through its South African subsidiary, Pharma Dynamics.
In a press statement on Friday, the company said that the acquisition, made in partnership with investment firm ImpiloVest, includes brands such as AntaGolin, RyChol, NeuroVance, and SkinVance, among others. These products address a range of health concerns including metabolic syndrome, cognitive function, joint care, immune support, and women's hormonal health.
This strategic acquisition strengthens Lupin's presence in the South African market and its commitment to offering holistic healthcare solutions. The brands will further enhance Pharma Dynamics' focus on complementary and alternative medicines, which are growing in demand across the region.
Thierry Volle, President EMEA, Lupin, stated, “This acquisition is a significant step in expanding our footprint in the Complementary and Alternative Medicines sector, aligning with our goal to provide sustainable healthcare solutions."
Mariaan du Plessis, CEO of MNI, expressed optimism about the partnership, emphasising the shared commitment to holistic and preventive healthcare.
