Manah Wellness has launched 'myBuddy,' the world’s first curated AI-based copilot for mental well-being, designed to provide users with tailored and accurate responses to their mental health concerns.
In a press statement on Thursday, the company informed that this pioneering tool aims to bridge the gap in mental health by offering a safe and supportive environment for conversations around wellbeing.
Dr. Ashwin Naik, Co-founder and CEO of Manah Wellness, highlighted the social and cultural barriers that prevent many individuals from seeking mental health support. “Mental well-being issues are often not rooted in clinical problems but are deeply embedded in societal norms and personal beliefs. This prevents 85 per cent of those affected from reaching out for help. With myBuddy, we aim to dismantle these barriers by offering a space for individuals to explore their concerns and take the first step toward better mental health,” Naik said.
Unlike typical AI tools that rely on publicly available, unverified data, myBuddy uses an exclusive knowledge repository developed by Manah Wellness in collaboration with White Swan Foundation. This comprehensive database includes over 1,000 carefully curated questions and responses, informed by Manah’s team of experienced psychologists. These insights address common queries and challenges faced by individuals when navigating mental health concerns.
According to Ritika Arora, Co-founder and COO of Manah Wellness, myBuddy stands out by providing supportive, non-judgmental responses to everyday mental health questions often ignored in typical conversations. “myBuddy supports users in multiple Indian and global languages, making it ideal for workplace stress management and personal wellbeing journeys. It is a valuable copilot for employees, offering them a means to address day-to-day stressors and begin their path to mental wellness,” Arora added.
myBuddy is currently available through Manah’s digital platform, Manahverse, which focuses on making employee wellbeing programs accessible and relevant for all.
