Zydus Sitapur Hospital, a multi-speciality healthcare facility funded by Maruti Suzuki under its CSR initiatives, commemorates the completion of one year of its 'Cath Lab' facility. In a press statement on Wednesday, the healthcare provider said that this initiative has been instrumental in delivering advanced cardiac care to residents of nearly 400 villages surrounding MSIL's Gujarat facility, marking a significant milestone in enhancing community health in the region.
The statement further informed that Maruti Suzuki fully funded the Rs. 5.6 crore Cath Lab at Zydus Sitapur Hospital as part of its CSR initiative. The lab, equipped with medical facilities, offers advanced clinical services, including Cardiac Care, General Medicine, Orthopedics, Trauma.
Reflecting on the successful completion of the Cath Lab's first year, Mr. Rahul Bharti, Executive Officer - Corporate Affairs, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, emphasised the company's investment of over Rs. 160 crore towards establishing Zydus Sitapur Hospital. He stated, "Aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 3, focusing on promoting good health and well-being, the launch of the Cath Lab underscores our commitment to enhancing local healthcare infrastructure and providing last-mile access to cardiac treatment in the region."
Bharti further highlighted the impact of Maruti Suzuki's efforts in facilitating healthcare accessibility for low-income groups, stating, “Our initiatives have enabled us to serve 240 heart patients belonging to low-income groups under the prestigious Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana.”
The hospital has been recognised through its accreditation with NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers) certification and the recent conferral of a gold quality certification by the Quality Council of India (QCI), the healthcare provider's statement added.
