Meenakshi Mission Hospital Donates ₹10 Lakhs For Wayanad Landslide Relief

In response to the severe landslides and heavy rains that have devastated Wayanad, Meenakshi Mission Hospital and Research Centre (MMHRC) has made a generous donation of Rs 10 lakhs to the Kerala Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund.

The contribution was formally handed over by Dr. B. Kannan, Medical Administrator at MMHRC, to Kerala Chief Minister Shri Pinarayi Vijayan in Wayanad. This donation is part of MMHRC's commitment to supporting relief and rehabilitation efforts in the affected region.

Dr. S. Gurushankar, Chairman of Meenakshi Mission Hospital and Research Centre, expressed his deep concern over the disaster, stating, “We are deeply pained by the tragic visuals of the disaster’s impact. Our contribution of ₹10 lakhs is a gesture of solidarity and support to the Kerala government’s efforts in rehabilitation. We hope this assistance will help in the recovery and rebuilding process. Our team remains committed to providing any further help needed during these challenging times.”

The landslides in Wayanad have resulted in significant loss of life and damage, prompting widespread relief efforts. MMHRC’s donation is aimed at supporting the ongoing rescue and recovery operations in the region.
