Siemens Healthineers, a medical diagnostics company, has introduced India’s first AI-enhanced eco-friendly multi-testing diagnostic analyser, the Atellica CI, at Mahajan Imaging & Labs.
The company in a press statement on Tuesday said that this technology aims to revolutionise patient care by providing faster and more accurate diagnostic results.
The Atellica CI analyser offers a comprehensive range of features, including the ability to test over 200 parameters across 20 disease states. Its microvolume technology is particularly beneficial for pediatric and critical care cases, allowing for efficient testing from minimal sample volumes. The device delivers critical assay results in just 14 minutes, significantly faster than the conventional 22 to 40 minutes. For emergency cases, tests can be completed in as little as 10 minutes.
Noteworthy among the analyser's capabilities is the novel “Enhanced Liver Fibrosis (ELF)” test, which addresses the significant burden of liver disease in India. The ELF test aids in the early detection and prognosis of liver fibrosis, a condition that contributes to a substantial proportion of global liver health-related deaths.
The Atellica CI analyser is designed with sustainability in mind, utilising less water and generating reduced plastic waste, aligning with Mahajan Imaging & Labs’ commitment to eco-friendly practices. It supports advanced diagnostic capabilities, including maternal screening markers, ovarian reserve assessments, and oncology markers for early cancer detection. The AI-driven system minimises manual errors and enhances operational efficiency, ensuring precise test results even in the presence of biotin or gummy intake.
Dr. Harsh Mahajan, Founder & Chief Radiologist of Mahajan Imaging & Labs, praised the new analyser, stating, “The launch of the Atellica CI Analyzer marks a significant advancement in our diagnostic capabilities. By integrating this technology with our imaging services, we can offer a more comprehensive approach to patient care and better manage liver disease.”
Siemens Healthineers’ Ranabir Sinha highlighted the partnership’s impact, “The Atellica CI Analyser represents a major leap in diagnostic technology, and we are proud to collaborate with Mahajan Imaging & Labs to bring this innovation to India. This partnership underscores our commitment to enhancing healthcare outcomes through advanced technology.”
Dr. Shelly Mahajan, Lab Director and Clinical Lead at Mahajan Imaging & Labs, added, “Our rigorous validation of the Atellica CI Analyzer has demonstrated its effectiveness in predictive care, quick turnaround times, and adherence to environmental goals. This analyser not only advances our diagnostic capabilities but also ensures streamlined workflows and precise results.”
The Atellica CI analyser is FDA-approved, the company's statement added.
