Wockhardt Hospitals Powers Patient Safety Week 2024, Focuses On Accurate Diagnosis For Better Care

The initiative, with the theme “Improving Diagnosis for Patient Safety,” underscores the importance of accurate and timely diagnosis in ensuring patient safety and improving healthcare outcomes

Wockhardt Hospitals, a renowned chain of tertiary care super-speciality hospitals in India, has launched its Patient Safety Week 2024, in alignment with the global efforts of World Patient Safety Day.

In a press statement on Friday, the hospital authority informed that the initiative, with the theme “Improving Diagnosis for Patient Safety,” underscores the importance of accurate and timely diagnosis in ensuring patient safety and improving healthcare outcomes. The campaign slogan, “Get it right, make it safe,” emphasises the need for precision in diagnostics to safeguard patient well-being.

The week-long program runs parallel to the World Health Organization’s (WHO) global patient safety campaign and includes a variety of educational activities and competitions aimed at engaging staff, patients, and their families in promoting safety awareness. Activities such as safety quizzes, poster competitions, and safety pavilions will help reinforce a culture of safety throughout the hospital.

Key Activities For Patient Safety Week 2024:

  • Workstations on International Patient Safety Goals (IPSG)

  • Poster competition focusing on “Improving Diagnosis for Patient Safety”

To further enhance engagement, safety pavilions will be set up in collaboration with laboratory, imaging, and inpatient departments.
