HCG Expands Footprint, Acquires A 50-bed Cancer Centre In Indore

Healthcare Global Enterprises  (HCG), a cancer care network in India on  Wednesday announced the strategic acquisition of SRJ CBCC Cancer Hospital in Indore. This acquisition will enable HCG to enter into the key geography of Madhya Pradesh, the company said in its statement. SRJ CBCC Cancer Hospital is a 50-bed cancer centre in Indore.

HCG is further planning to expand by adding 100 beds and a cancer diagnostic and treatment facility within an estimated operational timeline of 2 years, the company's statement read. 

With its entry into the 10th state, HCG is now a network of 21 comprehensive cancer centres with 24 hospitals across India and Africa, and 8 Daycare centres.

India faces a significant challenge of a large cancer incidence burden which continues to grow further. Madhya Pradesh accounts for a sizable share of cancer incidence in India with a high prevalence of Head and Neck and Tongue cancer in Men and Breast and Cervix cancer in women.

On Wednesday HCG's stock closed 1.31 per cent higher at Rs. 363.60 on the BSE.
