HealthifyMe, an Indian health and fitness app, on Tuesday announced the appointment of Dr. Shebani Sethi as its consulting Chief Medical Officer (CMO). Dr. Shebani is the Founding Director of Metabolic Psychiatry, a term she coined at Stanford University School of Medicine, the comapny said in a statement on Tuesday.
She brings a decade of experience in obesity medicine and psychiatry along with cutting-edge knowledge of metabolic health. She will play an instrumental role in building HealthifyMe 2.0 where the larger organisational goal is to put metabolic health at its core and weave key cognitive and behavioural neuroscience elements as a part of the company's DNA across all its products, the statement said.
Dr Shebani Sethi is a physician board-certified in obesity medicine and psychiatry. Besides consulting with HealthifyMe, she is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Stanford University School of Medicine, where she pursues metabolic psychiatry research and runs a clinical program in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, the company's statement read.
