Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF), the corporate social responsibility (CSR) arm of Hyundai Motor India (HMIL), has launched Mobile Chikitsa units under its Sparsh Sanjeevani healthcare initiative in Nagpur and Aurangabad districts of Maharashtra.
In a press statement on Saturday, the company informed that the launch event was inaugurated by Shri Girish Mahajan, Minister of Rural Development & Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of Maharashtra.
Puneet Anand, AVP & Vertical Head - Corporate Affairs, HMIL, highlighted the importance of this initiative, stating, “A healthy population is the first requisite for holistic development. In-line with Hyundai’s global vision of ‘Progress for Humanity’, HMIF’s Sparsh Sanjeevani Mobile Chikitsa Units aim to positively impact remote and underserved areas of Nagpur and Aurangabad districts. These specialised Hyundai Mighty vans, equipped with state-of-the-art medical amenities, will travel through rural areas offering free medical consultations, proactive diagnostics, and essential health services directly to those in need."
The Mobile Chikitsa Units are designed to provide primary medical care in remote regions where healthcare facilities are scarce. Each unit is staffed by a qualified MBBS doctor and features modern diagnostic tools for comprehensive medical testing, including blood sugar, blood pressure, and various infectious diseases, the press statement added.
