ICRI & Max Hospital Partner To Launch Advanced Clinical Research Program

ICRI School of Clinical Research and Healthcare has partnered with Max Healthcare to launch the Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Clinical Research (PGDACR) program. In a press statement on Monday, the institution informed that this 10-month program aims to equip students with comprehensive education and practical training in clinical research.

The press statement further read, the  PGDACR program is meticulously structured into two phases. The first phase consists of six months of rigorous theoretical instruction at Max Healthcare’s state-of-the-art facility in Saket, Delhi. Following this, students transition into a four-month practical phase at various Max Hospital facilities across Delhi NCR, where they apply their theoretical knowledge in real-world clinical settings.

The program highlights several key features. Students receive training from top professionals, gaining valuable insights from leading doctors. The program offers hands-on experience in conducting clinical trials, equipping students with essential practical skills. ICRI’s exclusive industry partnerships provide unparalleled practical training opportunities. Max Hospital offers students potential employment opportunities post-graduation. Students gain experience in a hospital setting, preparing them for their future roles. The certification is industry-vetted and NSDC-approved, ensuring high standards and recognition. Additionally, students receive training in clinical research software, enhancing their job prospects in clinical data management and pharmacovigilance.

The global clinical trials market, valued at over USD 50 billion in 2022, is projected to reach USD 84.43 billion by 2030, growing at a CAGR of 5.7 per cent. The COVID-19 pandemic has underscored India’s potential as a hub for clinical trials, with a large patient pool driving the demand for treatments and immunisations. With 288 medicines and 106 vaccines in various stages of development, the demand for clinical research professionals is soaring.

India’s alignment with U.S. FDA norms has made it an attractive destination for global clinical trials. The Indian clinical trials market is expected to reach USD 3.15 billion by 2025, growing at a CAGR of 8.7 per cent. The industry requires around 50,000 clinical research professionals, and this collaboration between ICRI and Max Hospital aims to address this demand by producing well-trained graduates.

Max Hospital provides the physical infrastructure for the program, including classrooms, projectors, and smartboards, while ICRI develops and delivers the curriculum with qualified faculty and trainers, the statement from the institution added. The PGDACR program ensures graduates are well-prepared to meet the demands of the clinical research field. ICRI also offers dedicated placement services to facilitate smooth transitions into relevant corporate roles.
