Karnataka Health Minister Inaugurates HCG’s 5th National Nursing Conference

The conference served as a platform for healthcare professionals to discuss key challenges in nursing, such as violence against nurses, generational gaps affecting organisational culture, and the integration of artificial intelligence in healthcare

Healthcare Global Enterprises Limited (HCG), India’s leading cancer care network, successfully hosted the 5th Annual National Nursing Conference 2024 under the theme Transforming Nursing for Future Healthcare - A New Insight”. The event took place at Hotel Grand Magrath, Bangalore, drawing over 400 delegates from across the country.

The conference was inaugurated by Shri Dinesh Gundu Rao, Minister of Health & Family Welfare, Government of Karnataka, alongside other dignitaries including Dr. M.K. Ramesh, Vice Chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences; Raj Gore, CEO of HCG;  Punitha Rani Singh, AVP-Nursing, HCG; and Dr. Vishal Rao, Group Director of Head & Neck Surgical Oncology & Robotic Surgery at HCG.

The conference served as a platform for healthcare professionals to discuss key challenges in nursing, such as violence against nurses, generational gaps affecting organisational culture, and the integration of artificial intelligence in healthcare. Panel discussions and workshops delved into critical topics, including physician-nurse collaboration to enhance patient care and strategies for improving the mental well-being and work-life balance of nurses.

Speaking at the event, Shri Dinesh Gundu Rao emphasised the pivotal role of nurses in the healthcare system. He remarked, "Nursing is a noble profession that profoundly impacts patient well-being, offering hope and comfort during challenging times. As we reflect on the lessons of the COVID-19 pandemic, we recognise nurses as the backbone of our healthcare system, providing unmatched dedication and compassion." He further stressed the need to invest in training, facilities, and emotional well-being to empower nurses.

Raj Gore, CEO of HCG, highlighted the organisation’s commitment to advancing nursing practices. "Nurses are at the heart of patient care. This conference has provided invaluable insights into the challenges facing the profession and the opportunities to overcome them. At HCG, we remain steadfast in supporting the nursing community through continuous education and evidence-based practices that improve patient outcomes," he said.
