Lilly Announces Global Capability Centre In Hyderabad

Eli Lilly's new centre will focus on advanced technological capabilities, including automation, artificial intelligence, software product engineering, and cloud computing, to enhance Lilly's operations and meet evolving global business needs

Eli Lilly and Company has unveiled plans to establish a new global capability centre in Hyderabad, India. The Lilly Capability Centre India (LCCI) Hyderabad is expected to open in mid-2025 and will employ over 1,000 highly skilled professionals to bolster the company’s digital strategy and service delivery.

Eli Lilly's new centre will focus on advanced technological capabilities, including automation, artificial intelligence, software product engineering, and cloud computing, to enhance Lilly's operations and meet evolving global business needs.

Speaking about the initiative, Manish Arora, Managing Director of LCCI Hyderabad, said, “Our teams in India play a pivotal role in driving Lilly’s global business support with centralised, scalable solutions. LCCI Hyderabad will enhance our technical capabilities, enabling us to better meet growing business demands, fully leverage technology in our operations, and further expand our presence in India.”

The Hyderabad facility will be Lilly’s second capability centre in India, following the establishment of LCCI Bengaluru in 2016.

Duddilla Sridhar Babu, Telangana’s Minister for Information Technology, Electronics & Communications, Industries & Commerce, and Legislative Affairs, welcomed Lilly’s investment, stating, “This investment underscores Hyderabad’s growing reputation as a hub for healthcare innovation and talent. We fully support Lilly’s vision to make life better for people around the world and are confident that this centre will contribute significantly to the local economy and help improve health globally.”
