This partnership combines Mars Veterinary Health’s nearly 90 years of global expertise, including 30 years in veterinary services, with Crown Vet’s established local network and reputation for clinical excellence

Crown Veterinary Services (Crown Vet) announced today that Mars Veterinary Health, a global leader in veterinary services, has made a minority investment, marking its entry into India’s veterinary healthcare sector. This partnership combines Mars Veterinary Health’s nearly 90 years of global expertise, including 30 years in veterinary services, with Crown Vet’s established local network and reputation for clinical excellence.

With eight clinics across five cities—Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Pune—Crown Vet has become synonymous with quality care. The collaboration aims to expand Crown Vet’s reach while introducing advanced training programs for its 240 employees, including 60 veterinarians, setting new benchmarks in pet healthcare across India.

“My vision has always been to bring global standards of care to India,” said Pratapsinh Gaekwad, founder of Crown Vet. “This collaboration validates our mission and will help equip us with the tools to train and upskill veterinary professionals in service of high-quality care for local pets and their owners. It is a significant milestone for our company and the industry, reflecting a shared commitment to the future of pet healthcare in India.”

Mars Veterinary Health operates approximately 3,000 veterinary clinics globally and is known for its high-quality, compassionate care. The company is committed to long-term investments in innovation, scientific research, and access to care to improve health outcomes for pets.

Brian Garish, president of Mars Veterinary Health International, emphasized the alignment of the two organizations’ goals: “We are pleased to support Crown Vet further its mission to advance pet health in India. Our Purpose—A BETTER WORLD FOR PETS—aligns closely with Crown Vet’s mission, and we look forward to helping even more pets live happier, healthier lives through advanced care, along with improved training and resources for local veterinary professionals.”

India’s growing pet ownership and the increasing appreciation of the human-animal bond have driven the demand for high-quality veterinary services. Sheroy Wadia, CEO of Crown Vet, highlighted the broader implications of the collaboration: “This development marks a pivotal moment for pet healthcare in India, setting the foundation for innovation and improved health outcomes for pets in service of the veterinary sector’s long-term advancement.”
