Medanta Q4 Results: Net Profits Jump Nearly Five-Fold To Rs 101 Cr

Global Health, a multi-speciality tertiary care healthcare provider operating in the North and East regions of India, announced its audited consolidated financial results for the full year and quarter ending 31st March 2023.

Medanta Hospitals recorded a jump of 25 per cent year on year (YoY) in its total income of Rs 2,759 crores in FY23, while in Q4FY23 the income soared by 37 per cent to Rs 731 crore. The company's Profit After Tax for the January-March quarter registered a four-fold jump YoY to Rs 101 crore while for FY23 the PAT increased by 66.2 per cent YoY to be recorded at Rs 326 crore. 

Earning Before Interest Taxes Depreciation & Amortization for the March quarter stood at Rs 191 crores in Q4FY23, recording a jump of 107 per cent YoY. For FY23 EBITDA stood at Rs 677 crores increasing by 38 per cent YoY. The EBITDA margins of the company improved to 24.5 per cent in FY23 from 22.2 per cent in FY22.

In FY23 Medanta's Average Revenue Per Occupied bed (ARPOB) grew by 8.3 per cent to Rs 59,098, while In-patient volume increased by 32.0 per cent and Out-patient volumes increased by 15.4 per cent YoY. The company said that its revenues from international patients increased by 68 per cent to Rs 156 crore.
