Paras Health has announced the foundation stone laying of its first hospital in Punjab, a 500-bed multispeciality facility in Ludhiana. The hospital, slated to commence operations in FY 2028, is part of Paras Health’s ambitious plan to expand its footprint in North India.
The Ludhiana hospital will bring Paras Health’s total number of facilities to 10, spanning regions like North India, Bihar, and Jharkhand. With this addition, the organisation’s overall bed capacity will grow from 2,135 as of March 31, 2024, to 2,935 by March 31, 2029. The new hospital will feature state-of-the-art technology and offer advanced medical services across multiple specialities.
Dr. Dharminder Nagar, Managing Director of Paras Health, expressed his excitement about the project. “Paras Health is committed to providing accessible and quality healthcare ever since the first hospital became operational in 2006. We are now looking to expand our services further in North India with this new 500-bed hospital in Ludhiana. I am especially glad to bring tertiary care to the people of Punjab, ensuring they receive advanced medical treatment close to home,” he stated.
The healthcare provider continues to focus on delivering specialised medical care in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, balancing affordability with quality. Paras Health’s clinical specialities include cardiac sciences, oncology, neurosciences, gastro sciences, orthopaedics, joint replacement, and transplant programs such as liver, kidney, and bone marrow.
