Sankara Eye Foundation India has unveiled SAHAI, the country's first AI voice-based feedback system designed to transform patient feedback processes in healthcare.
The healthcare provider in a press statement on Thursday informed that the system, powered by Large Language Models (LLMs), enables patients to provide voice-based feedback in 20 Indic languages. This innovation streamlines feedback collection, enhances service quality, and boosts patient satisfaction through seamless communication.
SAHAI records patient feedback in their preferred language, translates it into English, and analyses the sentiments for actionable insights. The feedback is then directed to the relevant departments for swift resolution, reducing manual intervention and improving efficiency. The system’s advanced features, including automatic speech recognition (ASR) and digitised analysis, aim to optimise patient experience and increase operational efficiency across the healthcare sector.
Bharath Balasubramaniam, President of Operations & Administration at Sankara Eye Hospital, shared the impact of the new system stating, "Since its launch, SAHAI has recorded 17,350 voice notes from both outpatient and inpatient services. Our Guntur Unit has seen the highest engagement, with 3,816 voice notes collected. We’re proud to say that this system is helping us gather real-time, honest feedback to improve our services."
