On 14th September Star Health and Allied Insurance, a standalone health insurance company declared the launch of its UPI QR code-based payment option for policy purchases and renewals along with personalised UPI payment intent links, enabled by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) .
"This is expected to simplify the customer purchase experience to a few clicks. The UPI QR code, integrated into payment reminder emails will allow customers to complete their transactions within seconds as all essential payment details, including the premium amount, are pre-fed into the QR code, simplifying the payment process and eliminating the need for manual premium amount entry," the company said in a press statement.
With a simple scan of the customised code, customers will be able to make payments within a few seconds, ensuring a hassle-free, error-free and efficient experience, the company said in the statement.
Anand Roy, MD & CEO of Star Health & Allied Insurance, said, “Catering to our customer’s ever-evolving needs and preferences, we are delighted to introduce our dynamic QR code & intent link-based UPI payment options.
