Alkem Laboratories Appoints Dr Vikas Gupta As New CEO
Indian pharmaceutical company Alkem Laboratories on Friday stated that it has appointed Dr Vikas Gupta as the company's new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with effect from 22nd September, 2023, the company said in an exchange filing.
Dr Vikas Gupta holds an M.B.B.S degree from the University College of Medical Sciences, Delhi University. He has over two decades of experience in the Pharmaceutical Sector and brings with him deep experience across therapeutic areas including Acute, Chronic, Metabolic and Respiratory, the company said in the filing.
The company stated Dr Gupta has demonstrated capability of leading business transformation across various geographies adding that his expertise includes delivering profitable and sustainable top line by driving teams, devising innovative sales and marketing plans and creating mega brands.
"He also has a proven track record of successfully launching new businesses as well as spearheading growth in established ones," Alkem said.
The company's stock closed 0.72 per cent lower at Rs 3,676.90 per scrip on BSE.
