Alleged Irregularities: CBI Conducts Search At Rishikesh AIIMS

In relation to alleged irregularities in recruitment and procurement made during the tenure of former director Ravi Kant, the CBI searched the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Friday.

Pradeep Pandey, a law officer at AIIMS, Rishikesh, reported that the investigative agency had sought further documents about the alleged irregularities, which are now being given to them.

A CBI team under the direction of Deputy Superintendent of Police Rajeev Chandola is conducting the search. In April 2022, the CBI conducted raids at the AIIMS in Rishikesh and filed two separate cases against five individuals.

Prior to this, the vigilance agency had also looked into fraud in the awarding of tenders for the purchase of equipment and the allocation of space to a pharmacy inside AIIMS, Rishikesh.
