Caplin Steriles, a Subsidiary company of Caplin Point Laboratories has been granted final approval from the United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) for its Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) Cisatracurium Besylate Injection, a generic therapeutic equivalent version of, NIMBEX injection of AbbVie Inc, the company said in an exchange filing on Monday.
Cisatracurium Besylate Injection USP is a non-depolarizing skeletal neuromuscular blocker, indicated as an adjunct to general anaesthesia to facilitate tracheal intubation and to provide skeletal muscle relaxation during surgical procedures.
According to IQVIATM (IMS Health), Cisatracurium Besylate Injection USP had US sales of approximately USD 35 million for the 12-month period ending December 2022.
