With this collaboration, Centre For Sight, which currently operates 82 centres across 40 cities in 15 states, continues to strengthen its position in the eye care sector

Centre For Sight, a leading national network in ophthalmology, has collaborated with Laxmi Eye Hospital, a renowned eye care provider in Maharashtra.

The company in a press statement on Wednesday informed that this partnership marks a crucial milestone in Centre For Sight's expansion strategy, enhancing its presence in Maharashtra to nine centres.

With this collaboration, Centre For Sight, which currently operates 82 centres across 40 cities in 15 states, continues to strengthen its position in the eye care sector. The network serves over a million patients annually with the support of more than 350 expert doctors and approximately 2,700 professional staff.

Laxmi Eye Hospital, established in 1989, has been a trusted name in eye care, serving over 2.5 million patients across its four locations in Panvel, Khargar, Dombivili, and Kamothe. The hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including FEMTO for bladeless cataract surgery, offering comprehensive eye care services. Under the leadership of Dr. Suhas Haldipurkar, a pioneer in the Phaco technique with over 40 years of experience, Laxmi Eye Hospital has set new benchmarks in patient care. The next generation of specialists, including Dr. Tanvi Haldipurkar, Cataract & Refractive Surgeon, and Dr. Devendra Venkatramani, Vitreo-Retinal Surgeon, continues to uphold this legacy.

Dr. Suhas Haldipurkar, Medical Director at Laxmi Eye Hospital, stated, "We are proud to join hands with Centre For Sight, an institution that shares our dedication to clinical excellence. Together, we will continue to build on our legacy and provide patients with the best possible eye care."

Over the past year, Centre For Sight has added 10 brownfield centres through strategic collaborations with institutions such as Fazili Eyecare in Srinagar, I Max Eye Care Hospital in Sikar, Kakathiya Eye Hospital in Warangal, Drishti Eye Hospital in Badlapur, Rushabh Eye Hospital & Laser Centre in Chembur, and now Laxmi Eye Hospital in Mumbai. Additionally, six greenfield centres have been launched in Bhiwani, Palwal, Jammu, Gorakhpur, Prayagraj, and Gurugram, further strengthening Centre For Sight's presence in Northern India.

Centre For Sight plans to continue its expansion in Western India, aiming to add 15-20 centres annually and reaching 150 centres in the next four years as part of its "Go Deep and Go Wide" strategy. The company plans to invest Rs 300-500 crore in its expansion efforts. The recent strategic investment from ChrysCapital has further accelerated this growth, enabling Centre For Sight to extend advanced ophthalmic care to more communities across India.

Raghav Ramdev, Managing Director of ChrysCapital, commented, "The healthcare sector in India is a key area of focus for ChrysCapital given the significantly underserved market and the potential for share gain for organised players."

Prof. Dr. Mahipal Singh Sachdev, Chairman and Medical Director at Centre For Sight, added, "Our collaboration with Laxmi Eye Hospital and other prominent centres in Mumbai underscores our commitment to delivering the highest standard of eye care. These partnerships not only expand our capacity to meet the region's growing needs but also reflect the broader trend of consolidation in healthcare to extend the reach of world-class services."
