In a press statement on Tuesday, the company informed that deSouza, a Silicon Valley tech veteran and former CEO of Illumina brings over 30 years of leadership experience in genomics, technology, and healthcare.
Known for his transformative role at Illumina, deSouza led the company from 2016 to 2023, significantly advancing global genomics access. His tenure saw reduced sequencing costs, innovative clinical solutions, and an expansion to over 150 countries.
