Looking For A Bed, Oxygen, Or Medicines For A Loved One? Desidime Might Be Able To Help You.

DesiDime, a website, driven by online shoppers sharing the latest deals and discounts, has recently started a discussion thread online to help people affected by the second and more severe wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in India.

On this thread, relatives or friends of Covid-positive patients can find validated and updated information about where to find vacant beds, oxygen, ambulances or medicines like Remdesivir and Tocilizumab anywhere in India. This information is in the form of contact numbers, hospital/ service/ individual names and addresses shared by real people, who are members of DesiDime, living in various states and cities in India.

The idea behind starting this thread was to collate all such necessary and life-saving information in one place online and make it available to people in need at any time, anywhere, no matter from which part of the country they belong to.

Also, the moderators of the website are making sure that the information shared is true, verified and as up-to-date as possible. So that people don’t end up being misled or conned, which has become a norm in such difficult times?

Within minutes of starting the thread, the members of DesiDime started sharing information and even asking for help. The thread has got around 3757 views and 136 Comments in just 4 hours.

One can search through information by using the CTRL+F command and typing in their current location (e.g. Lucknow). One can also use the comment option and post their particular requirement. For this, people will have to sign up with the website first.

After signing up and logging in, people can submit their request by giving the patient name, age, current location, contact number and type of requirement.

Since this thread is online and reaches thousands of people around India, anyone, living in any part of India, who has relevant information for that geographical area will be able to provide it by directly replying to the person who needs it.
