Maxivision Super Speciality Eye Hospital, a prominent name in India’s eye care sector, has announced a significant expansion plan in Gujarat with an investment of Rs 200 crore.
The initiative aims to establish 25 hospitals across the state, creating over 300 jobs within the next year. Currently operating six hospitals in Gujarat, the group has outlined plans to open new facilities in Bhuj, Surendranagar, Porbandar, Upleta, Bhavnagar, and Junagadh. This expansion builds on Maxivision’s collaborations with esteemed ophthalmic practitioners, including Dr. V.V. Sapovadia in the Saurashtra region and Dr. R.K. Sachdev in Surat.
Maxivision entered Gujarat in 2023, launching hospitals in Rajkot, Jamnagar, and Morbi. In 2024, it expanded to Surat with two hospitals and now plans to add two more units in the city, as well as extend its reach to Navsari and Bharuch. Additionally, partnerships with practitioners in Vadodara, Himmatnagar, and Mehsana are on the horizon.
A Greenfield super speciality centre is set to be developed in Ahmedabad, equipped with cutting-edge technology to address advanced eye care needs and serve as a platform for local surgeons.

Sudheer, Group CEO of Maxivision, emphasised the group’s focus on ethical practices, affordability, and personalised care. “Our Gujarat hospitals offer advanced technologies such as SMILE 800, Contura, and robotic cataract surgery.
