Medulance, an emergency services provider in India, has launched a significant CSR-driven campaign on the occasion of Independence Day. The initiative, titled ‘First Aid for a Safer India: Training Our Future Emergency Heroes,’ aims to train over one lakh college students and faculty members in first aid and basic life support across Delhi NCR.
Starting on 15th August 2024, the campaign seeks to integrate first aid and emergency response training into the curriculum of students aged 12 and above in Delhi schools and colleges. This initiative will be implemented in more than 50 colleges, including prestigious institutions such as Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies, reaching over 70,000 students and faculty.
Medulance is also extending its training to private schools across Delhi NCR, aiming to educate over 50 lakh students to become first responders in emergencies. The program is designed to enhance the safety and preparedness of young individuals, equipping them with the necessary skills to act in emergency situations.
Commenting on the initiative, Pranav Bajaj, Co-Founder and CEO of Medulance, said, "First aid is a critical skill that can save lives. By integrating first aid and basic life support training into the curriculum of Delhi’s schools and colleges, we are not only empowering our students with the knowledge to act in emergencies but also fostering a culture of preparedness and safety. We aim to create a generation of responsible citizens who can contribute to a safer India."
This campaign is part of Medulance’s ongoing efforts to promote emergency preparedness and community responsibility. The company has previously partnered with major organisations such as Zomato and Uber to provide first-aid training to educate society on handling emergencies.
