Merck's Aarogya Health Program Enhances Community Health In Patalganga

The program offers health screenings and focuses on raising awareness and educating residents on best health practices

Merck, a prominent leader in science and technology, has launched the Aarogya health program in the Patalganga region, significantly benefiting local communities.

In a press statement on Saturday, the company informed that initiated in July 2024, Aarogya aims to elevate health outcomes by providing comprehensive health screenings, diagnostic support, and increasing health awareness.

Since its inception, Aarogya has positively impacted approximately 800 community members through health camps conducted in Borivali, Sai Nagari, Washivalli, Kaire, and Vadgaon. These camps have been instrumental in identifying and addressing primary health issues, offering essential diagnostic services for accurate detection and timely treatment.

The program offers health screenings and focuses on raising awareness and educating residents on best health practices. A unique referral system and follow-up care have been established to ensure equitable access to healthcare services. Aarogya’s strategic approach includes assessing current health conditions and disease trends to develop a roadmap for future health interventions.

Merck Life Science’s facility in Patalganga, which began operations during the pandemic, supports the program with lab materials and reagents for pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical companies. This facility has been a vital part of the community since 2020.

Aarogya is part of Merck India’s broader commitment to social responsibility. The company has positively impacted over 120,000 lives through various education, healthcare, relief, and employee engagement initiatives. Merck continues to drive innovation and enhance lives in India, offering scholarships, quality education, healthcare services, and essential medical equipment during crises.
