These new mobile clinics will provide free medical care to underserved populations in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, and Kalaburagi, Karnataka, strengthening Aster Volunteers’ commitment to improving healthcare access in North India and beyond.

The launch event, held in the presence of Aster DM Healthcare’s Managing Director and Group CEO,  Alisha Moopen, along with senior leadership, was a momentous occasion for Aster Volunteers. The initiative aims to serve marginalised communities, providing them with essential medical services via mobile clinics equipped with advanced technology and telemedicine capabilities.

Expanding Impact with 50 Mobile Clinics

As per the press statement, Aster Volunteers has expanded its network to 50 Mobile Medical Clinics, offering free healthcare services across India, the Middle East, and Africa, benefitting over 1 million people annually. These mobile clinics, custom-built on Ashok Leyland Mitr 7-meter long chassis, are equipped with advanced IoT-integrated telemedicine services, mini-labs, patient consultation areas, and health education programs. The clinics are also designed with infection control mechanisms, air conditioning, and Wi-Fi connectivity, ensuring seamless access to high-quality healthcare even in the most remote locations.

The launch of these mobile clinics is part of Aster Volunteers’ ongoing initiative to reach underserved populations in rural areas and provide free medical services. The network of mobile units will continue to expand, with plans to add 10 more units in 2025, focusing on North India.

Jagdeep Dhankhar praised Aster Volunteers’ efforts in leveraging technology to enhance healthcare access for underserved communities. He highlighted the importance of integrating mobility and telemedicine to provide quality healthcare in remote locations, noting the significant impact this initiative has on improving the country’s healthcare infrastructure.

Dr. Azad Moopen, Founder & Chairman of Aster DM Healthcare, expressed his commitment to furthering Aster Volunteers’ mission to make healthcare accessible to all. He emphasised that the new mobile clinics represent a crucial step in reaching marginalised populations and improving their quality of life through advanced healthcare solutions.

Since its inception in 2017, Aster Volunteers has impacted the lives of over 5.6 million people and engaged more than 75,000 volunteers. The initiative has become a vital movement in providing healthcare, education, and social upliftment, as well as disaster relief and environmental sustainability. Aster Volunteers focuses on creating lasting social impact through sustainable practices and empowering communities in need.

With its robust network of mobile medical services, Aster Volunteers is not only providing essential healthcare but also building a bridge between those who have access and those who do not, creating a more inclusive and equitable healthcare ecosystem.

Aster Volunteers is the global CSR programme of Aster DM Healthcare, launched in 2017 with the support of former President Shri Pranab Mukherjee. It has positively impacted over 5.6 million lives through various initiatives, including medical camps, free surgeries, blood donation drives, health awareness campaigns, and disaster relief efforts.
