Wanbury has appointed Prakash Venkatraman as President of its API business. In a press statement on Wednesday, the company informed that with over three decades of experience in API operations, P&L management, and business strategy, Venkatraman is set to drive growth and innovation in this critical segment.
Venkatraman holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Management Studies from Mumbai University. His extensive career includes notable roles such as Senior Vice President of the API business at Shilpa Pharma Lifesciences, where he led the division to achieve significant revenue and EBITDA targets.
Before this, Venkatraman was Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Business Development for Sun Pharma's API division. He also spent eight years at Jubilant Life Sciences as Senior Vice President, where he played a key role in establishing Jubilant as a global leader in specific molecules and expanding its capacity to meet growing demand.
His career further includes leadership roles at Wockhardt, Ranbaxy, and Kopran, where he consistently met organisational goals and delivered exceptional results.
