Wockhardt Hospitals, Mira Road has earned the prestigious accreditation for its Emergency Department from the Quality and Accreditation Institute’s (QAI) Centre for Accreditation of Health and Social Care (CAHSC), the hospital informed in a press statement on Monday.
This accreditation marks a significant milestone as the first of its kind in Maharashtra, the statement from the hospital said.
The QAI recognition highlights Wockhardt Hospitals' commitment to excellence in emergency medical care. With emergencies such as road traffic accidents, heart attacks, strokes, choking incidents, severe allergic reactions, and accidents requiring immediate attention, the hospital's accreditation underscores its capability to handle life-threatening situations with cutting-edge technology, modern infrastructure, and expert care.
Tushau Prasad, Consultant and In Charge of Emergency Medical Services, emphasised the importance of timely intervention in critical situations. “Our Critical Care Unit, along with specialists, modern ICUs, and advanced technologies, offers patients a higher chance of survival.
