The registrations will open soon, offering categories for beginners and experienced athletes alike, including Open Singles, Pro Singles, Doubles, and Relay Teams, encouraging participation from a broad spectrum of fitness enthusiasts, corporates, and families

HYROX, the global leader in fitness racing, is set to launch in India in May 2025 through a joint venture with Bengaluru-based fit-tech company Yoska. HYROX India aims to introduce a unique fitness challenge that combines running and functional strength workouts, marking a new era for gym enthusiasts, runners, and the broader fitness community across the country.

In a press statement on Saturday, the company informed that the event will debut in Mumbai on May 3, 2025.

Founded in 2017 by Christian Toetzke and double Olympic Gold medalist Moritz Fürste, HYROX has rapidly grown to become one of the most popular fitness race series globally, with events held in major cities like London, New York, Berlin, and Singapore. The format involves 8 x 1 km runs, each followed by a functional workout such as sledge pushes, sandbag lunges, and wall ball squats, offering participants of all fitness levels a comprehensive challenge.

The company further informed that it will open registrations soon, offering categories for beginners and experienced athletes alike, including Open Singles, Pro Singles, Doubles, and Relay Teams, encouraging participation from a broad spectrum of fitness enthusiasts, corporates, and families.

HYROX India has garnered support from leading global brands, including PUMA, MyProtein, Red Bull, and Concept 2. As the official footwear and sportswear partner, PUMA will promote the event across India. As a precursor to the India launch, PUMA brought three renowned Indian athletes—PR Sreejesh, Sarabjot Singh, and Ritu Phogat—to participate in the HYROX Singapore event in September 2024.

Commenting on the partnership, Deepak Raj, CEO of Yoska and Country Head for HYROX India, said, "We are thrilled to bring this exciting new sport to India. HYROX will redefine the fitness landscape by offering a unique challenge that combines strength, speed, and endurance."

Christian Toetzke, CEO of HYROX, expressed excitement about the India launch, stating, "HYROX connects fitness communities globally, and we look forward to bringing this sport to India." Moritz Fürste added, "HYROX is more than just a race—it’s a lifestyle embraced by over 400,000 participants worldwide."

PUMA India’s Managing Director, Karthik Balagopalan, noted, "India’s fitness community is growing, and we are excited to support HYROX’s entry into this market with high-performance products tailored for athletes and fitness enthusiasts."
