Lupin Appoints Christoph Funke As Chief Technical Operations Officer

Lupin, a global pharmaceutical powerhouse, has announced the appointment of Christoph Funke to the newly-established role of Chief Technical Operations Officer. With a robust background spanning over three decades in pharmaceutical manufacturing, supply chain management, and technical operations, Christoph Funke brings a wealth of expertise to Lupin's executive team. Based in Mumbai, he will be tasked with overseeing Lupin's Technical Operations function, encompassing manufacturing, supply chain, and procurement operations.

Christoph Funke's illustrious career includes significant leadership positions at renowned organisations such as Fresenius Kabi and Strides Pharma Science. Throughout his tenure, Funke has successfully managed extensive technical operations and manufacturing networks spanning 27 sites across 19 countries. Under his leadership, production value exceeding USD 2 billion was achieved, while overseeing teams of over 12,500 employees. Christoph Funke holds an engineering degree from South Westphalia University of Applied Sciences, Germany.
