Paras Health has announced the appointment of U.P. Singh, a distinguished former Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, as an Independent Director on its Board.
In a press statement on Wednesday the company said that with over 37 years of service, Singh brings extensive expertise in governance, policy formulation, and strategic management, enhancing Paras Health's commitment to excellence and innovation.
U.P. Singh's illustrious career includes key roles in public sector enterprises and major corporations such as Maharatna and Navratna companies. His vast experience provides invaluable insights and strategic direction, crucial for Paras Health's continued growth and success. Singh's public service background further enriches the company's mission to deliver exceptional healthcare services.

Singh retired as Secretary to the Government of India, Ministry of Textiles, in October 2022, where he spearheaded initiatives like the PLI Scheme for Textiles and PM-MITRA Park, contributing to record-high textile exports. He also served as Secretary, Department of Water Resources, River Development, and Ganga Rejuvenation, leading key projects such as Namami Gange, Jal Jeevan Mission, and Swachh Bharat Mission-II.
