Turbostart, a global venture capital platform, has led a USD 1 million investment in Ai Health Highway, a tech-driven healthcare company, as part of its Pre-Series A funding round.
The company in a press statement on Friday informed that the funding, part of a USD1.5 million total round with co-investment from Rainmatter by Zerodha, The Chennai Angels, BITS BioCyTiH Foundation, and other angel investors, will accelerate Ai Health Highway’s mission to enhance healthcare accessibility with its AI-powered stethoscope, AiSteth.
AiSteth, India's first AI-enabled stethoscope, is designed to assist healthcare professionals and non-specialists in diagnosing heart conditions by analysing heart sounds and providing clinical insights. By leveraging AI and advanced signal processing, the device transforms traditional stethoscopes into cutting-edge screening tools, offering early detection of life-threatening cardiac disorders and helping healthcare workers make timely clinical decisions.
This funding will support Ai Health Highway in expanding its reach in India, achieving global regulatory approvals, and advancing its AI/ML solutions in the cardio-respiratory space. AiSteth's integration into healthcare workflows enhances the accessibility of quality screenings, particularly in underserved communities, while maintaining affordability.
Venkat Raju, Founder and CEO of Turbostart, expressed excitement over the partnership: "Ai Health Highway's innovative approach is reimagining healthcare tools, making early detection more accessible. Their AI-enabled stethoscope can democratize healthcare, bringing advanced screening capabilities to regions that need it most."
Ai Health Highway, founded in 2018, is committed to reducing premature deaths caused by non-communicable diseases (NCDs), which claim over 41 million lives annually. The company’s goal aligns with global health targets, aiming for a 30% reduction in NCD-related deaths by 2030.
Dr. (Maj) Satish S Jeevannavar, Founder of Ai Health Highway, welcomed the support: “We are thrilled to have Turbostart as our lead investor in this critical round. Their experience and network will be instrumental as we scale AiSteth and continue our fight against NCDs.”
