Bayer's South Asia Pharma division is undergoing a leadership transition as Manoj Saxena, the current Managing Director, is set to relocate to Australia in March to assume the role of Bayer CEO for ANZ (Australia and New Zealand). This transition is part of Bayer's commitment to strengthening its global leadership team and leveraging regional expertise.
Shweta Rai, Business Unit Head, has stepped into the position of Managing Director and Country Division Head for Bayer’s South Asia Pharma division. South Asia, with a quarter of the world's population and India boasting one of the fastest-growing economies, presents limitless opportunities to fulfil Bayer's mission of "Health for All, Hunger for none."
As Rai embarks on this new role, she looks forward to collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, aiming to unleash the full potential of Bayer South Asia.
In a statement, Shweta Rai said, "I am honoured to be taking over as Managing Director and Country Division Head of Bayer’s South Asia Pharma division. South Asia holds a quarter of the world's population and is home to one of the fastest growing economies, India – offering truly limitless opportunities to make our mission a reality 'Health for All, Hunger for none.' Special thanks to Manoj Saxena for this leadership and contribution. And Ying Chen and Ashraf Al-Ouf for their guidance. As we write the next chapter, I look forward to serving through this role and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to enable Bayer South Asia to unleash its full potential. #teambayer"
