Not only does Noraa create superior and responsible products for their customers, but also for the environment. With the effects of the climate crisis, we can see across the world, Noraa aims to address the environmental impact of sanitary waste.

Noraa sanitary pads are chemical and plastic-free. These pads are degradable and take between 6 months to 2 years to completely degrade. Noraa uses organic cotton, cornstarch, and bamboo as raw material, making the pads easily degradable, without hampering the environment.

Hemender Singh Hoon, Co-Founder Noraa, says “With changing times and the concern around the environment and using natural products, it is absolutely important we take care of what women use, as they are the pillars of our society and their health and safety is primary. We want women to adapt to a more sustainable option, that does not have a negative effect on the environment - this is the thought behind using natural and biodegradable products to make Noraa.”

With the aim to break the taboos, Noraa not only creates superior and responsible products but also takes pride in being an all-woman run production unit. Their factory is located in Kolkata, where a tribe of trained women is creating sanitary pads not just for a comfortable today, but a plastic-free, healthy and safe environment for everyone in the future.

“Not only do we care about our customers’ needs, we care about what impact our products have on the environment. Sanitary pads take an average of 700-800 years to decompose - the number of pollution pads produce in terms of chemicals and plastic is shocking. With Noraa, we are trying to change that with our belief of no chemicals, no plastics,” explains Ayush, Co-Founder Noraa.

With their range of sanitary pads and panty liners, the environmental benefits of these products create a positive impact on the planet, and every woman using Noraa helps move a step closer to making sustainable menstrual products matters.
