1. Can you please walk us through the journey of the company?
Jobizo was started with a mission to challenge the Indian healthcare recruitment ecosystem and methods thus ultimately bringing the patient care more affordable and increasing the availability of jobs. It is the country's first AI and ML driven aggregator platform for flexible recruitment. It helps employers in hiring 100% verified workforce on a locum, flexible and recurring basis. We have experienced massive growth in demand for the hiring of a non-permanent workforce. Within 90 days of its launch, the platform completed 10,000 hours of job and patient care. So, Jobizo minimises the gaps between employers and verified professionals by providing flexible staffing opportunities. Jobizo is the brainchild of IFANglobal, which has over 20 years of rich experience in healthcare recruitment and training.
2. What is the idea behind the venture? What is the business model of the company?
Healthcare sector recruitment is still mostly dependent on traditional recruitment methods, hence facing massive shortage of employees and skills gap which is massive. So, the main idea behind the venture is to provide flexible job opportunities, ability to self learn and upgrade the skills to the talented healthcare workforce as per their time, needs and choice. We started with a vision to nurture the healthcare ecosystem through an online workforce augmentation platform which integrates advanced data science with gig-model application.
The business model of the company is to not charge a single penny as of now from the workforce. We charge a very small convenience fee from the employers only. Jobizo is an easy-to-use app where healthcare professionals can scroll through and choose short-term jobs from the vacancies posted by the employers.

If we talk about any specific emergency service, Jobizo has helped in getting an ICU doctor to a hospital on an emergency basis on the day of Holi which ultimately saved a life. It shows how our platform is providing availability of manpower.
4. What are your plans for the Indian market?
At the present time, we are providing our services to 50+ clients in cities such as Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Guwahati, and parts of Mumbai. By the end of year 2022, we are planning to launch our services in states of Maharashtra and Karnataka, which would mean Mumbai and Bangalore as such. We are looking forward to consolidating those people who are presently not active in the job market.
5. What is exactly meant by LOCUM jobs? And how is it beneficial?
LOCUM jobs are also known as temporary jobs. Here, people can choose to work for as little as an hour a day or 10 to 15 days a month. It is totally up to them. So, where there is a greater flexibility and no fixed-term is called a locum job. It is similar to freelancing. A closest example to understand this is UrbanClap. UrbanClap assists people by providing on-demand services as per their requirement and then they return back after finishing the work. Thus, locum jobs are mutually profitable for employers as well as employees. Professionals can afford greater flexibility in their personal and work life. The model is very famous in western countries and I think our country will also adapt it widely in the near future.
6. What are your views on the scale of technology adoption in Indian healthcare? What are the challenges and opportunities?
Technology adoption has increased in the healthcare sector especially after the outbreak of Covid-19. We witness a lot of healthcare employers using the latest technologies to standardise their processes. It is cost-efficient for employers as technology allows them to bring down the hiring cost by at least 30-40%.
Since India is an under-developed country, many people do not know how to use smartphones. So, it turns out to be major challenges in this tech-driven world. Whereas, the opportunity is that we can truly bring healthcare services at the finger-tip. Digital registries of health providers and health facilities have become easy with the ease of access of technology to all. The government of India has also announced the Open Platform for the National Digital Health Ecosystem, which would not have been possible without the advancement in technology.
