Kumar will oversee sales, marketing, and commercial operations for Medtronic’s business in India

Mandeep Singh Kumar has been appointed as the Vice President and Managing Director of India Medtronic, effective May 2024. He succeeds Michael Blackwell, who has returned to the US to pursue new opportunities. In his new role, Kumar will oversee sales, marketing, and commercial operations for Medtronic’s business in India.

With over 25 years of experience in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, and med-tech sectors, Kumar has demonstrated agile leadership in driving successful growth and business transformations. His expertise spans strategy development, execution, commercial excellence, and building winning teams globally. Before joining Medtronic, Kumar was the Country Leader at Intuitive India, where he spearheaded initiatives to broaden patient access, develop a comprehensive ecosystem for robotic-assisted surgery, and drive customer robotic programs.
