Shweta Takes Charge As MD & Country Division Head At Bayer Zydus Pharma

Shweta Rai assumed the role of Managing Director at Bayer Zydus Pharma and took charge as the Country Division Head for the Pharmaceutical Division in South Asia, effective January 1, 2024, the company informed in a press statement on Monday. Shweta, a seasoned professional with over 22 years of experience, brings a wealth of expertise to her new leadership roles, having previously served as the Business Unit Head for Diabetes Care within the organisation, the company's statement added.

Before her current role, she held positions at renowned companies such as Johnson & Johnson, MSD Pharmaceuticals, IQVIA, and Pfizer.

Widely recognised for her contributions, Shweta has been featured in "A-List" India, solidifying her status as one of the top 500 marketing influencers in the country. OPPI (Organisation of Pharmaceutical Producers of India) acknowledged her as among the Top Women Leaders in the Health Care Industry, while The Hindu identified her as one of the "India Businesswomen Leaders Below 40." In 2019, she received the prestigious "SIESCOMS Women Achiever Award" on International Women’s Day.
