Bangalore Hospitals celebrated Kannada Rajyotsava 2024 by hosting a free health check-up camp on November 24th, attracting over 280 participants. This event, focused on preventive healthcare and early detection of chronic illnesses, reaffirmed the hospital’s dedication to the health and well-being of the community.
The camp provided a wide range of health services, including blood pressure monitoring, ECGs, cholesterol testing, blood sugar evaluations, and BMI assessments. Attendees also received personalised advice on nutrition, exercise, and stress management, helping them address lifestyle-related conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and obesity.
The camp catered to a broad spectrum of the community, from young adults to senior citizens, highlighting the growing interest in proactive health management. The large turnout emphasised the importance of accessible healthcare services in fostering a healthier society.
"On Kannada Rajyotsava, we celebrate not only the heritage of Karnataka but also the health and wellness of its people. Our goal is to raise awareness about the significance of regular health check-ups and their role in improving quality of life," said Dr. Abhishek Mannem, Medical Director of Bangalore Hospitals.
This health camp is part of Bangalore Hospitals’ ongoing mission to promote preventive healthcare and ensure that essential medical services are available to all. The initiative not only provided immediate care but also educated participants on the importance of routine screenings, particularly for underserved communities.
"A healthy community forms the backbone of a thriving society. Through free health check-ups, we aim to make healthcare accessible and encourage individuals to prioritise their well-being," Dr. Mannem added.
The success of the Kannada Rajyotsava Health Check-Up Camp represents a significant milestone in the hospital’s efforts to integrate community care with healthcare services. With this initiative, Bangalore Hospitals aims to inspire a culture of health consciousness, encouraging individuals to adopt preventive health measures for a healthier future.
